Bowls

Our Club has a proud history of the great game of Bowls. Since 1889, that is 120 years we have been playing Bowls on the greens in Ashfield Park. Owing to the historical importance our greens are heritage listed.

The Club has just over 120 playing members. Of course new members are always welcome. We have an open day on the last Sunday of the month from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm. This is a great time to have a try of Mufti Bowls. or call the Club on 97986666 to arrange for a try.

Championship and formal games are administered by the two sub clubs
Men's Bowls & Womens Bowls

The Club also conducts various
Tournaments throughout the year. Should you wish to review results of previous years Tournament or competitions, go to our Archive page.

When not playing a formal game, (a formal game is usually where scores are recorded and a card handed in) Bowling members partake in a roll up (practise).

The Greens are available for play most days. There are restrictions on Monday. On Mondays maintenance such as spraying and watering the greens takes place, therefore the Greens are unavailable. There is also a restriction on at other times when there is no Green space available due to Competitions. Contact us to ensure we have the available space for your Function.

Over recent years bare foot bowling as it is known has become popular. For details on this check out our
Barefoot Bowls page.
