Over recent years Barefoot Bowls has become increasingly popular.  At Ashfield we prefer to call it Casual Bowls.

For those who don't want to commit to playing on a serious or regular the basis, the Ashfield Bowling Club can cater for the casual bowler. Be it a one off Casual bowls game to celebrate a special occasion, or a game between you and your mates - we can accommodate you!

To help you enjoy your bowls and have a great time, we will provide co-ordinators. The co-ordinators will have all equipment ready for you at the appointed time. They will ensure that you have a basic understanding of the game, give you some safety tips, and get you organised into teams.

The cost of Casual Bowls is approx $10 per head (prices may vary depending on the size of the group and services required). This includes the use of equipment, bowls, jacks, mats, co-ordinators and the green for 2 hours of booked time. Should you wish to incorporate food into your casual bowls event, catering can be provided through our Parkview bistro.

If you want to take your bowls to the next level (and save plenty of money), you may aspire to become a Playing Member. Membership will provide you with registration with the State Body and 6 free bowls lessons with our Institute of Sport accedited coach.
